We will be returning to Beqa Lagoon Resort for our THIRD visit very soon in December and I CANNOT WAIT! I am as excited as I was the first time about this visit. I know that the food will be the best, our bure wonderful, the snorkeling and diving perfect, the school children endearing, the sights and sounds memorable, the staff fabulous and the whole expereince a "once in a life time." BULA: I have been all over the Caribbean and just can't believe my experience at Beqa Lagoon Resort. You knew you were in store for a treat when the boat is pulling into the lagoon and a group of the staff is on the shore singing to welcome you. You didn’t have to haul you luggage, the staff did that and had it waiting in your room after lunch. I don't think I have ever seen a better dive operation. Each person made sure that everyone in our group was taken care of from making sure they saw everything and anything you wanted, including every item they listed on the dive briefing board. They gave you the option of taking off your gear in the water for those that just didn't want to haul it up the ladder, no matter what the conditions were. A crew person stayed in the water to personally take your camera and fins from you while you concentrated on getting up the ladder. The attentiveness from the dive staff could not be compared to anything I have ever encountered. Now for the diving. Unbelievable! After being in this wonderful place, you would never know our reefs are in danger. Used to seeing big stuff while diving, but these reefs were amazingly full of young, abundant life everywhere around you. It was so weird that even the creatures of the sea wanted you to feel welcome, almost posing for the camera. As for the resort. Every employee knew your name by the second day and you truly began to feel like they knew you like a close friend. I am a person who is used to having a TV and internet service at my fingertips and I didn't get a chance to miss them. The warm, friendly, courteous staff absolutely amazed me and made me feel like I belonged there and it was my island too. The landscaping and accommodations were impeccable. Clean, dry towels twice a day. The food was phenomenal. A choice of a fresh seafood item or Something for everyone and nothing like the traditional buffetts. Each meal you had a choice of a fresh catch, meat entr?e or a vegetarian alternative served to you fresh from the kitchen and arranged like a 5 star restaurant. The general managers (Mark and Sue) ate in the open dining room with us each meal and shared our experiences. They should be so proud of their little piece of heaven they have there and all the wonderful people that make it so special. I have never been so interested in another's culture before. These people want to share everything with you. With the warm smiles, energetic and sincere greetings, there is no way that a person could be unhappy here. This is a place that I would definitely come back to, over and over again. They truly are "the most friendliest people in the world". Thank you to the wonderful staff of Beqa Lagoon for sharing your island with me and making my vacation one to remember always. VINAKA!!!
